Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD), PD Pasar Jaya, held socialization of Pasar Jaya Wholesale Center at Pasar Induk Kramat Jati. The event was participated by traditional traders and Pasar Jaya area managers.

Previously, traders get the goods from fourth or fifth hand. That’s the why the price is expensive

Arief Nasrudin, PD Pasar Jaya Director, said the socialization was held to invite the traders to take part at the wholesale center which is being developed. The wholesale center is provided to cut the goods distribution. It means the goods price would be cheaper.

“Previously, traders get the goods from fourth or fifth hand. That’s the why the price is expensive,” he said, Tuesday (9/27).

The wholesale center is provided only for traditional market traders in Jakarta. They will get special ID to shop.

His side will monitor the trading at traditional markets. If the traders increase the price arbitrarily, especially ahead of fasting month and Idul Fitri, then his side will hold massive market operation or bazaar.
